What is included with the SurferCenter Service ?

With your SurferCenter Internet account, you receive a dial-up account with an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that is all digital, and connects you directly to the Internet, an e-mail account. We also are very stable. All equipment has UPS power standby and an automatic generator to keep power up 24 x 7.

Where can I find additional modem settings ?

For 3Com, you may try:
ATS32=34 disables X2 and forces ether V.90 or V.34, you may also try ATS32=98

For some others:

  1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Modems, Properties, Connection, and Advanced Connection Settings.
  2. Under Extra Settings, type the following, including the commas:
    AT+MS=,,,41333
    Try AT+MS=V34 if AT+MS=,,,41333 does not work.
  3. Click OK and test by dialing the desired connection

You may have to power your system & modem off before these setting are truly accepted by your system.

Yes, it is $19.95 inclusive of shipping, and we strongly suggest this to anyone who is new to the Internet.

Do you support WebTV ?

Yes we do. You must contact WebTV to find out how to configure your unit and then call us to activate your account. The phone number is 318-688-4800 and press 2 for support. More information can be found at

When I send email to someone, it doesn't work when they press respond... 

This happens because the return mail may be set to an address other than the one you are using. To set the return address, open Outlook Express, click on TOOLS then ACCOUNTS then the tab  MAIL

Then click on the email address you wish to work on to highlight it, then click on PROPERTIES on the right hand side. Click on GENERAL tab and enter your email in the REPLY ADDRESS

The Mail Server Settings are as follows 

pop3 server type.
pop server name = pop.surfercenter.com
smtp server name = smtp.surfercenter.com

Primary DNS = 208.216.88.2

Secondary DNS = 208.216.88.3
